Katsumi Sakurai ("we") sets out below how information is handled in the iOS app "Ball In A Maze" ("the app").
The app has no account or sign-in, and we operate no server. We never receive any information about you.
The app does not use or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photo library or microphone. Camera use is described in section 2.
Eight of the forty stages (21-24 and 37-40) have a glass floor. On those stages the app can display the rear camera feed underneath the translucent board, so that whatever is behind the device appears to show through it.
| What the app does | |
|---|---|
| Display | Frames are rendered on screen, and nothing else |
| Recording / saving | Never. The app does not access the photo library at all |
| Analysis | Never. There is no face or object recognition of any kind |
| Transmission | Never. No frame leaves the device. Nothing is passed to advertising |
| When it runs | Only while you are on a glass-floor stage with the "see-through" look selected. It stops as soon as you change the look or leave the stage |
The look can be switched at any time between see-through, frosted and opaque, using the "ガラス" button at the bottom of the screen or the Settings screen. The camera is not used for frosted or opaque.
If you decline camera permission, every stage remains fully playable. You can change the permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
Only the following is stored on the device itself (iOS UserDefaults). None of it is transmitted.
| Type | Contents |
|---|---|
| Progress | How far you have cleared |
| Best times | Your fastest time for each stage |
| Stars | Stars collected per stage (up to three) |
| Settings | Control style, sound, haptics, glass floor look |
This data is removed from the device when the app is deleted. We cannot view or obtain it.
The app uses Google AdMob to display one banner advertisement at the bottom of the screen. AdMob may automatically collect the following for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
| Type | Contents |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifiers | IDFA and identifiers issued by AdMob |
| Device information | Device model, OS version, language, screen size |
| Approximate region | Country or region inferred from the IP address |
| Ad interactions | Impressions and taps |
This information is collected and used by Google; we do not receive its contents. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Camera frames are never used for advertising. No frame is included in anything sent to AdMob.
On first launch iOS asks whether the app may track you.
| Your choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Allow | Ads may be personalised using the IDFA |
| Ask app not to track | The IDFA is not used. Ads are still shown, but are not personalised |
Either way, every stage remains fully playable. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Depending on your region, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) is presented before ads are shown. Your choices can be changed at any time from "広告のプライバシー設定" (Ad privacy settings) on the app's Settings screen.
The app has no in-app purchases.
The app is not directed to children under 13.
This policy may change as the law or the app changes. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
