Katsumi Sakurai ("we") provides this policy for the iOS app "Fuwari" (the "App").
The App requires no account and we operate no server. We never receive any of your information.
The App does not use or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, camera or microphone.
With your permission, the App reads step count only from Apple Health. Steps are used to decide how much your creature grows, and to draw the daily record screen inside the App.
| What the App does | |
|---|---|
| What is read | Step count only. Heart rate, sleep, weight and workouts are never read |
| Writing | Never. The App does not change anything in Apple Health |
| Transmission | Never. Your steps do not leave your device, and are not shared with advertising |
The App works without this permission. Growth from walking simply stops; you can still raise your creature by petting, feeding, playing and tucking it in. You can change the permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Fuwari.
Your records are stored only on your device (in iOS UserDefaults) and are never transmitted.
| Type | Contents |
|---|---|
| Growth record | The name you chose, current form, growth progress and traits |
| Step ledger | Daily steps and the growth already awarded for them (kept so the same day is not counted twice) |
| Collection | Forms you have met, and records of creatures you have seen off |
| Daily care | How many times you petted, fed and played today |
| Puzzle in progress | The arrangement of tiles you are part-way through |
| Settings | Your daily step goal |
Deleting the App removes this data from your device. We cannot access it.
The App can use a photo of your choosing as the picture for its sliding puzzle. It reads only the single photo you pick in the iOS photo picker. The App never asks for access to your whole photo library.
The chosen photo is cropped to a square and stored only on your device, inside the App's own storage, so that you can come back to an unfinished puzzle.
That stored photo is deleted when you choose "back to Fuwari" on the puzzle screen, or when you delete the App. We never transmit your photo to our servers or to any third party, and it is not shared with advertising.
The App uses Google AdMob to serve third-party advertising. For ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention, AdMob may automatically collect:
| Type | Contents |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifiers | IDFA and identifiers issued by AdMob |
| Device information | Device model, OS version, language, screen size and similar |
| Approximate location | Country or region inferred from your IP address |
| Ad interaction | Impressions, taps and similar |
This information is collected and used by Google; we do not receive it directly. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Ads appear as a banner at the bottom of the screen. The App shows no full-screen ads. No information from inside the App — including your steps and your photos — is passed to advertising.
The App may show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Only if you choose "Allow" is your advertising identifier used to serve personalised advertising. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", you will see non-personalised ads and every feature of the App continues to work as before.
You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App presents a consent form for advertising data use through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can change your choices at any time from "広告のプライバシー設定" (Ad privacy settings) in the App's Settings screen. That item appears only in regions where such a control is required.
The App is not designed for children under 13.
We may update this policy as laws change or as the App gains features. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
