Katsumi Sakurai ("we") provides this policy for the iOS app "TwistCall" (ツイストコール, the "App").

1. Information we do not collect

The App requires no account and we operate no server. We never receive any of your information.

The App does not use or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos or camera. The microphone is used only for the purpose described in section 2 below.

2. Microphone and speech recognition

So that you can keep playing with your hands and feet busy, the App uses the microphone and iOS speech recognition.

ItemDetails
PurposeOnly to detect when you say "next" or "again" (or the Japanese words in Japanese mode), so the App can call out the next move or repeat it
When it listensOnly while you are on the play screen. It does not listen while it is reading out a move, and it stops when you leave the App
StorageNothing is recorded. Neither the audio nor the recognized text is stored
ProcessingOn devices that support on-device speech recognition, audio is processed only on your device. On other devices, iOS sends it to Apple's speech recognition service to be transcribed in real time (see Apple's Privacy Policy). We never receive the audio or the text

The App asks for microphone and speech recognition access the first time you play. If you decline, you can still play by tapping the screen or the buttons. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone / Speech Recognition, and you can turn voice control off in the App's settings.

3. Data stored on your device

Only the following is stored on your device (in iOS UserDefaults), and it is never transmitted.

TypeContents
SettingsLanguage, voice control on/off, auto-advance interval, the voice, speed and repetition used for reading moves, and the move rules

Play history (such as the moves called out) is not stored. Deleting the App removes this data from your device. We cannot access it.

4. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to serve third-party advertisements. To deliver, measure and protect ads, AdMob may automatically collect information such as:

TypeContents
Advertising identifiersIDFA and identifiers issued by AdMob
Device informationDevice model, OS version, language, screen size, etc.
Approximate locationCountry or region inferred from the IP address
Ad interactionImpressions, taps, etc.

This information is collected and used by Google; we do not receive its contents. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Ads appear as a banner at the top of every screen. The App does not show full-screen ads. Ad sound is muted so it does not interfere with reading moves or listening for your voice.

5. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On first launch the App may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Only if you choose "Allow" is the advertising identifier used for personalized ads. If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads and every feature of the App remains available.

You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

For users in these regions, the App presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can change your choice at any time from "Ad privacy settings" at the bottom of the App's Settings screen; this entry appears only where such a control is required.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as laws change or features are added. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
